Redstones Bed and Breakfast set in the heart of the Eden Valley.

Redstones is a former youth hostel which was bought in 2024 by a local family who have lovingly renovated and refurbished it to the highest standards.

Living in the village, the family recognise the value of the wonderful location and knew it would make an idyllic retreat for walkers, cyclists, and nature lovers who adore the beautiful and unspoiled Eden Valley.

Whether for a night or two, or a longer stay, they look forward to welcoming you to Redstones and all the area has to offer.

Short walk to Dufton’s Stag Inn (pub)

The Stag Inn is conveniently located across the village green from Redstones. We recommend you book a table in advance to avoid disappointment. Tel: 017683 51608

Easy access to a wide range of local pubs, cafés.

Only 4 Miles from Dufton you will find the ancient market town and royal borough of Appleby which serves as the focal point for all of the surrounding villages and hamlets. There’s a good selection of traditional shops, pubs and cafes, while the riverside is perfect for a stroll or a picnic – there’s also an indoor swimming pool if you want something a little more energetic. The biggest event on the calendar is the annual horse fair that takes place annually in June.
